One of the most significant battles believers face today is not external — it’s internal. The enemy works overtime to attack your mind, confidence, and sense of worth. He knows if you don’t know who you are, you won’t walk in what God called you to do.
Your God-given identity is the foundation of your spiritual life, prayer life, and destiny. But many Christians unknowingly live beneath their calling simply because they haven’t fully discovered who they are in Christ. Here are 7 biblical signs that you are not walking in your God-given identity — and what the Bible says to do about it
1. You Constantly Doubt Yourself
Suppose you question your worth, your calling, or your ability to do what God placed in your heart. Then that’s a significant sign. I can tell you that your identity is unclear.
Self-doubt sounds like:
- I don’t think God really wants to use me.
- I’m not good enough.
- I’m probably going to mess it up.
But God says the opposite:
“You are fearfully and wonderfully made.” — Psalm 139:14
“You are God’s masterpiece.” — Ephesians 2:10
Self-doubt grows when God’s truth is not louder than your inner critic.
Identity truth:
When you know who you are, you stop doubting what God put inside you.
